Panic and fear, no.
Who and what’s most important, I think so.
Looking For Ways To Help?
Volunteer
Continue to think, support, and act for our most vulnerable. Check in with and offer to shop for neighbors or those in your community.
Food Banks
With lacking grocery store shelves and employees out of work, consider donating to your local food bank.
School Closures
With cross-country closures, many students still rely on school lunches. Consider helping with the preparation and/or distribution of these meals. With students home, many parents may/will incur missed (unpaid) work days. An unexpected gift card to a local grocery store may help.
Hair
For the one who turns gray, young or ick to ooh la la… extra tips to offset their many cancelled appointments.
Restaurants, Coffee Shops, Bakeries, etc.
Feel good about dinner out? Supporting a local restaurant, the owner, and staff is important, so out Dave and I will go. If dining/going out isn’t an option, purchasing a gift card for future use is great too.
Share
We had dinner with friends last night; their daughter is now without both jobs. Within her Southern California community, they’re sharing new and viable employment opportunities around. If we hear or see, let’s share!
There’s more, please help me think!
Like everyday ~ these are come together, be there for one each other, gaze at the star-filled sky and find creative ways to help, lift, and upturn another mouth moments.
Be here now. In times of challenge, good rises.
