Cinnamon Orange Raisin Bread

April 16, 2020 By Jen

Cinnamon Orange Raisin Bread cut and staggered, with the first two pieces falling over

We share share share, but cinnamon raisin bread caused a stir, a true Wonka Bar moment. Embarrassing to admit, I had to rip from the grips to give to my very own dad. Get this, the offer came with stipulation, “how many pieces will you eat? You don’t like raisins, so are you sure you’ll eat the…

April 13, 2020 By Jen

How are you “hole”ding up? Have you previously lived in a bubble? Did you fight your way in, want back to normal, or did you find the new refreshing? Maybe some of both? I’m curious.

Momma’s Vegetable Fried Rice

April 7, 2020 By Jen

Momma's Vegetable Fried Rice with another bowl in the background.

// The title is a contradiction. Why? Because my mom’s fried rice includes lots of meat, but for me, she adjusts her tried and true to accommodate my vegetable ways. I appreciate because breaking a generational recipe shows the deepest form of true love.

Hello and Welcome!

In these pages you’ll find vegetable dishes to savor and sustain along with dessert recipes to gather around or share with neighbors, co-workers, or anyone in need of extra love.

A word on altitude, I’ve cooked and baked at both sea level and in Lake Tahoe. Many recipes aren’t affected by elevation, but if they are, I’m sure to note the difference within the ingredients.

We love to share, so thank you for stopping by because along with my husband Dave and our dog Rainey, each recipe is a thrill and therapy in creation. I hope the feeling comes through in every post and especially bite.
