The calendar marks November 28th.
The day is Thanksgiving.
To gather with many, few, or none.
To cook a grand, quiet, frozen, or no meal at all.
To put on your best, barely get dressed, roll out bed, or forget it.
To walk on water, a tightrope, drown, or be dead in the water.
The calendar combined with marketing and (at times) society displays an idealized version of the day. As we know, life rolls, lulls, and screeches to a halt. Some years are better than others, so for the ones that don’t fit the depiction, may I suggest staying true to you. While honoring who you are, let the swirl spin and the noise fall. Feel how you feel whether happy, content, grieving, grateful, sad, thankful to be alive, or not. The true you, and me, are better than any imitation.
Be gentle, go easy, keep those you love close, especially yourself.
Wishing you peace, love, and Lindsay

I am so glad Dave posted something about getting the perfect shot for your recipes on Facebook so I could follow your blog. The recipes look sooo delicious and of course your words always make my heart happy. You are not only a hell of a writer but now it looks like a hell of a cook/baker/creator. Love you to pieces. xoxo
