Am I the only one who sometimes struggles with snacks?
Does anyone share a similar and redundant pattern…
Apple, with cinnamon. Peanut butter, forget the peanut butter (one tablespoon leads to the jar). Thrilled for a year or two, then rut.
Snap Peas – big fat juicy snap peas. Can’t get enough. Inhale bag after bag, until, done.
Baby carrots!
Baby bells!
Snack after snack, I run them into the ground. Why can’t a person who loves change interchange snacks? I’m guessing because they’re good, mindless, and easy to grab and go?
With you, I’m ready to start anew. And the super password *rotate*
Wasa came out with Wasa Flatbread Thins. Have you seen or tried them? These crisp crackers changed the Wasa “didn’t realize but a little too thick” game. I’m giddy with flavors like Sesame Sea Salt and Rosemary Sea Salt. I went straight to town work on these babies.
My all time favorite:
- smashed avocado
- feta crumbles
- green onions/chives
- sprinkle of sea salt or Trader Joe’s Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend
Unsuspecting guests watch me assemble, think no big whoop, then take a bite. Where’s the mind blown emoji? Yeah, that! Simple, yet spectacular! The little lifts of life. Whoa, how’s that for alliteration?
It’s all about the creamy, crunchy, perfect hint of salt.
Other favorites:
- mozzerella
- tomato
- basil
And:
- cream cheese
- english cucumber
- fresh dill
- sprinkle sesame seeds
True to personality, I went snack cracker crazy:
- smashed avocado
- chopped egg
- chive
- sesame seed
Interchanging the cucumber for tomato is mighty tasty as well, and makes a far more brilliant color combination.
- garlic hummus
- cucumber
- sliced egg
- fresh dill
I’d never made a sweet cracker combination; this became a fast…
and ferocious
LOVE!
What do you think? Do you make snack crackers? If so, what kinds?
~ Confession ~
I almost forgot, the crackers pictured aren’t Wasa Thins. I stock up, but eat faster. Tahoe sells Finn Crisps, good but not the same! Wasa’s are the absolute best. Reno’s forty-five minutes away; it looks like I need to get going.

I guess we’re on the same food train. Safeway sent 3 free avocados so I’ve been making my diabetic toast with mashed avocado and Everything bagel seasoning. Very good dinner. Yours are much more creative.

Same train =) If only we can be siting at the same table, sharing our snacks together ♥️
