Ingredients
2carrots, shredded
11/2bananas, mashed
2Tbsp.coconut oil, softened
1 largeegg
1cupbrown rice flour
1cupquick oats
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350.
Shred carrots on a grater.
In a medium bowl, mash bananas with a fork. Add coconut oil, egg, brown rice flour, and quick oats. Mix until well combined.
Line a cookie sheet with parchment or a Silpat.
Turn dough onto a floured surface. If dough is sticky, add flour one tablespoon at a time.
Using your hands or a rolling pin, flatten the dough to ¼” to ½” thickness. Cut into desired shapes and place on cookie sheet.
Bake for 30 minutes. Cool on a wire rack or plate.
Store in an airtight container for up to seven days.
Notes
Adapted from Homemade Dog Treats NowFlour- coconut, almond, whole wheat, and chickpea can be substituted for brown rice flour. These varieties can be drier. If necessary, add water.Banana- At an altitude of 6300, my dough was on the dry side. I added a half banana.
